How is the library profession changing? : Findings of the regular survey: analysis of the salary, age, and educational structure of library staff in the Czech republic in 2025
SUMMARY: The article presents the main findings of a nationwide survey on working conditions in Czech libraries conducted in 2025. It analyses the salary, age, and educational structure oflibrary staff, their classification in salary grades, length of service, and genderrepresentation in library management. Special attention is given to language proficiency, the use of artificial intelligence in library practice, and the availability of personnel-related policy documents. The results are presented in clear graphs and tables, offering comparisons between public and specialized libraries as well as developments over time.
