Digital Technologies Impact on Children‘s Life or the Everyday Life of Digital Natives
SUMMARY: Children, digital technologies and media and their impact on everyday life, mental well-being and education are among the hot topics in today‘s society. The media landscape has changed rapidly in recent years. For children growing up in this changing environment, there are new and new trends, devices, apps, platforms and innovations to keep up with. It is difficult for parents, teachers, educational institutions, producers and advertisers who target the child population to keep up to date with the latest trends, opportunities and risks that children face in the media environment. The Children and New Media 2023 research study provides interesting insights into the motivations, context and different uses of media that are part of the everyday lives of today‘s children. Comparing different age groups, it shows how children‘s media habits and attitudes change over time, particularly in the context of their emotional and cognitive development. The research study focused on children aged 6 to 15 using both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods.
