Libraries and their participation in the project „Joint action of social partners to address key issues in the sectors“: Summary of the results of the project’s topics

Summary: The project „Joint action of social partners to address key issues in the sectors” funded by the European Social Funds, was led by the Association of Library and Information Professionals of the Czech Republic together with the Trade Union of Workers of Culture and Nature Conservation within the Culture platform. The project focused on two key activities. The first topic was the threat of professional burnout syndrome among librarians. Based on the results of a survey among library workers, the main causes of the burnout syndrome were identified. After identifying the main problems, the members of the working groups formulated recommendations to help prevent and address the burnout syndrome. The second topic focused on the promotion of social dialogue in libraries. This activity resulted in model collective agreements and other documents necessary for the development of social dialogue in organisations.
