Compositional Estate of Josef Páleníček in the Music Department of the National Library of the Czech Republic
Summary: The Music Department of the National Library of the Czech Republic now holds manuscript sheet music materials from the estate of Josef Páleníček in its collection. He left behind a remarkable compositional legacy, despite the fact that he is primarily known to the public as a top Czech pianist of the second half of the 20th century and a member of the famous Czech Trio. But he was also active as a teacher, and thanks to his organisational skills he held important positions in cultural politics. The study provides basic information about the contents of the estate.
